WEB Brownville Concert Series founder WEB passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 8, 2023, at his home in Brownville, Nebraska. He was 92 years old. WEB was born in Brownville in 1931 and lived there his entire life. He was a lifelong lover of music and the arts, and he founded the Brownville Concert Series in 1975. The concert series has brought world-renowned musicians to Brownville for over 45 years, and it has been a major cultural attraction for the region. WEB was a kind and generous man who was always willing to help others. He was a pillar of the Brownville community, and he will be deeply missed. “WEB was a visionary leader who had a profound impact on the cultural life of Brownville,” said Brownville Mayor Jim Ristow. “He will be remembered as a great friend and a true champion of the arts.” WEB is survived by his wife, Natalie Douglas, and his two children, Jeff Jenkins and Terri Jo Jenkins. A memorial service for WEB will be held at the Brownville Concert Hall on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Brownville Concert Series.
